Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 2% treatment solution helps exfoliate the inside walls of pores to fight the appearance of blemishes and for better visible skin clarity with continued use.

Contraindications: This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.

Note: While exfoliating acids can result in quick visible benefits, we generally suggest indirect forms of skin exfoliation in favour of direct forms such as this formula due to potential inflammation and sensitivity associated with acids. Please refer to NIOD’s Non-Acid Acid Precursor for such a reference.

Note: This product is not medicine. If you are fighting extensive or persistent acne, please consult a physician. Effective medicine exists to fight acne successfully, including retinoic acid and benzoyl peroxide.

1. Patch Test: Before using it for the first time, perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any adverse reactions.

2. Cleanse: Start with a clean face. Use a gentle cleanser to remove makeup, dirt, and oil.

3. Apply the Solution:

  • Use the dropper to apply a small amount of the salicylic acid solution directly onto the areas of concern (like blemishes or oily areas).
  • Alternatively, you can use a cotton pad to apply it evenly over the face, avoiding the eye area.

4. Let It Absorb: Allow the solution to absorb into the skin. You can follow up with a gentle patting motion to enhance absorption.

5. Moisturize: After the solution has dried, apply a moisturizer to hydrate your skin and prevent dryness.

6. Frequency: Start by using the solution once a day, ideally in the evening. If your skin tolerates it well, you can gradually increase to twice daily.

7. Sun Protection: During the day, always use sunscreen, as salicylic acid can increase sun sensitivity.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid using with other strong exfoliants or acids to minimize irritation.
  • If you experience excessive dryness or irritation, reduce the frequency of use.
